About Benjamin Yeager
Thank you for stopping by my gallery! I appreciate and enjoy photographing the unique beauty of each area of America. I also search for the artistic value in everyday scenes and I have a big nostalgia itch that I scratch through photography. Entirely self-taught, I enjoy being outdoors and am always ready to capture images that catch my eye, mind or heart. I also love taking whimsical pictures that my two young children can enjoy. At FineArtAmerica, I am the group facilitator of Highway & Byways and Young at HeART.
My love for photography grew as I moved around America. I was born (1977) and raised in a rural Indiana town and my photographic interests were limited to the rural subject matter of the area. I began to see new sights when I attended college in Annapolis, Maryland (2000) and graduate school in New Orleans, Louisiana (2002). But it was not until I moved to southern California (2004) and saw much of the beauty of the western United States that my love for photography exploded. My wife and I went on western road trips as often as possible and capturing our memories was a natural fit.
After six years working as a medical sales representative, we left L.A. with our young daughter and spent several months camping around America. We saw as much of the country as possible before settling near Seattle, Washington. We now have a young son but are still making time for short sightseeing trips.
