This is the actual UFO prop used in Ed Wood's infamous 1956 sci-fi film "Plan 9 From Outer Space". Starring Bela Lugosi, it was later dubbed the "worst movie ever made". The Seinfeld episode "The Chinese Restaurant" references Jerry's desire to see what made Plan 9 the successful plan.
