Description
Malcolm X was one of the most influential voices calling for the end of racial segregation in the 1960's. Leader of the Nation of Islam, he thunderously railed against the injustices faced by African Americans and encouraged them to violently resist in order to force America to end institutionalized segregation. He was assassinated in 1965 by a rival faction of Nation of Islam members.
